Pasting Snippets in custom module could cause a White Screen of Death

While updating the modules on my test site that uses modules in the Ultimate Guide I experienced a White Screen of Death or WSOD.

For several days I could do nothing but the Drupal Forums provided me an escape and advice on how to avoid shti in the future. The cause of a WSOD in my case seemed to be associated witht he use of snippets associated with the Content Profile Module.

Thanks for looking at http://drupal.org/node/499290. Do you concur with some of the recommendations make to reduce the possibility of White Screen of Death? please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
