I am trying to create a community site, however, the "Ultimate Community Site Guide" ebook shows different then my drupal.

For instance.....

Creating a Panel page that follows the steps in the ebook. Mine dosn't show anything about arguments.

On the panel page mine takes me to another page that must enter teasers which the book dosn't cover......

Anyone can help create a profile in an easy step by step????

I like this book, but it is not following my drupal 6.9

So far, I click on Panel (module) clicked the double stacked panel.....

The book says -
Create a panel page (/admin/panels/panel-page) (Panels module).
2. Choose a layout, let’s take the “Two Column Stacked” layout.
3. Name the panel “profile”.
4. Here is the tricky part: set the path to “node/%”, by doing this all of
the node/3, node/4, node/5, . . . pages will be replaced by this panel,
and the argument % will be passed to the panel.
5. Leave the advanced settings as they are.
6. Define a context: add the argument3 “node ID” (fig 4.6), select the
content type Profile (for content type and own display).

I do that but I get a page that says I have to enter "machine name"
(which can not be profile)

No place to add arguments
And can not figure out what I am doing while following this section of the ebook......

Help please
