Cleaning up "My Profile"

I am having trouble formatting the look of "My Profile."

I'd like to have something similar to what you get when you click on "My Profile" at drupalsn.com. Which appears to utilize tabs (quicktabs?)

The first tab is effectively the same as "My Profile" on drupalfun.com. The other tabs are basically views that aggregate different tables. And the "Edit" tab is effectively the "My account" functions - with sub-tabsfor different modules.

Can anyone suggest a way to control what appears in each tab and how to weight the tabs?

Yes, it;s probably quicktabs, Just create the views you want on each tab and than create a quicktabs block, which you add to either a user/ panel or a profile panel.
