Ctools problem

Question: 

when i went to install the panels module it was grayed out as it required the Ctools module.Now when i add Ctools module suddenly i can't able to view anything,unfortunately nothing at all.Anybode Please help my out from this situation..........

what you mean with "i cant able to view anything" ? you mean that you get a white screen? you dont see modules? cant you see any drupal sections at all?

maybe you messed up your modules folder? is panels enabled? did you enabled any other modules at the same time as panels?

6. Delete the ctools folder

Delete the ctools folder from your installation. This should bring things back for you and then you can install ctools again to see if it works or not.

It wont...I restart the whole process again....but again i stuck when i am going to install the Ctools module for using the panels module.
Would you please provide me the step-by-step process to install/activate the Ctools module.
I made the css directory at files/ctools but i won't work.

please help....It's very urgent to me.
