Image in teaser referenced in Section 4.4.1 and 4.4.2

Question: 

I have tried everything possible to replicate the image in Figure 4.12 on page 39 of the Ultimate Community Site Guide. Nothing shows except the word 'Profile" in the teaser. I looked at the php code and made sure that I changed the curly single quotes to straight quotes. Checked that the image was placed in the right folder. I am using MAMP on my desktop. Any other ideas on how to trouble shoot this.

Same situatiion with adding a block with the code on page 40. Thanks in advance for your help.

yes php input format is on. It's so odd that this doesn't work

3. Try putting some echo

Try putting some echo statements, in order to test. e.g.

echo "test";

see if the "echo" prints as well, then php is not recognised.

4. Success in getting My Proflle in Block, but

that fancy button still is so illusive. I just replaced the code in the block and presto it worked. I did the same thing in the Contemplate on the Profile but no luck there.

I have pressed and am on page 73. Views is so granular! Truly amazing. Your book could easily be used as a tutorial for views and panels. that was meant as a compliment ;-)

Any further suggestions for that proflle image would be appreciated.

5. My Account page and Contemplate

I am also struggling to get the button working. The instructions are very minimal.

The 4.12 pic is showing the button picture on the My account page right?
But I don't have that page as an option in Content-template to use.

Can you please clarify this a bit more, with details on which template to use or even make a new one and were to place the code.

6. You can set the content

You can set the content profile options (in content type profile) to display a teaser of the profile on the my account page.

Then you create a contemplate for the teaser of the profile.

I did all that and I have the buton showing on the My Account page. The problem is that its not just a button.

I also have the word "profile" and the Username showing and I dont seem to be able to get those to go. The button seems to be part of that display, which makes sense since we are looking at the Profile page Teaser.

From looking at the picture I think I am seeing just the button and no further info from the profile teaser display.

How do I deactivate these items?
