New users block avatar question

Question: 

Hello,

the block works great(5.5.4) but the avatar must be uploaded in order to show it (default avatar is not shown). Is this normal or my issue. Although it should display the default avatar since it's about new members (you don't put your own avatar from day one)!

Maybe by theming the View you could accomplish this.

On the other hand, if the new users see that they don't have an image, whilst they could have one, it might encourage them to upload an avatar right away.

It's not really a problem for me since I use this site creation as a guideline for a draft site. I don't think I have enough knowledge to produce my conceptual site so I will outsource the creation to a freelancer (are you interested maybe?) but first I want to have full understanding of the process,time needed and speak the same language to communicate and provide guidelines. I really can't thank you enough for your ebook!! Also thank you for the attention and effort you put to reply to all those silly questions by ignorant users such as myself!
