Node location vs. users location in google maps

Question:

Since profiles are nodes (and I assume that I was right not to load the profile module from core) the user locations is useless for our setup (the one according to your book)...right?
If that's so ,can the node locations be somehow filtered for profiles only? I don't have enough content/users in my test site to check it , but I was wondering whether the node locations are for every node created (I just want profile nodes because otherwise things will be VERY crowded in this view map).

1. hmmm...

I just saw that you have user locations in Drupalfun...strange but in my setup this option doesn't display anything (empty map) while in nodes I see the profiles. Any idea?

2. Hi, No, we have node

Hi,

No, we have node locations, I just renamed it :-)

You can create a View with a gmap, and then filter on the content type.

But if you only add a location to the content type of "profile", the standard node map will display only profiles.

3. Use location_cck
