2. I finished the book!!
What you wrote on the book was about taking over the profile page and that is working like charm but i want to take over the "My Account" pages too. This is the problem. The panel page with the path set to user/% does not take over the "My Account" pages.
3. I am not Dorien!
I wish I was ,but I am not! As far as I remeber , Dorien indicated that "My Account" page shall be left intact because of lots and lots of information it contains like history and subscriptions, account password, roles and other modules might need to interact with it and add more content to it. Personally I am very glad of this by-pass because it keeps things transparent and doesn't mess up the account with the profile. For sure you have your reasons for wanting this to happen , but personally I prefer to add than glue components!
Most social networks keep the profile from my account separated (e.g. MySpace)
4. Sorry!!!
Sorry. As emails sent by site has Dorien's name as sender i made the mistake. Anyway, Charos i don't like the formation of information in that page so i decided to make some changes in there. I want to have tow separate pages one will be redesigned "My Account" page in which the owner will have access to it and the other one will be the profile page the one that friends or others may have access.
5. Here I am! Set the panel path
Here I am!
Set the panel path to user/%, but ALSO add an argument UID as a context of the panel.

1. can you be a bit more specific?
When you say it doesn't work , what exactly do you mean and how far you went on the book?
