Panels 3.0 Beta1 released

Question: 

Which means that the way Panels is operating is going to stay like this.The API is stable but UI can have inconsistencies. I tried to create the equivalent Panel from Dorien's book in a test site but I just screw things up a lot! One thing is pretty certain , Panels 3 is veeery powerful with many features.

@Dorien: If you were thinking to play around with P3, now it's prime time! If you succeed , please let a walkthrough for us , the mortals. The other instructions for P3 were based on alpha releases. Now with CTools things have changed a lot. If you play anytime soon , let us know!

Sadly the upgrade path didn't really work (lost the profile panel page). So before you try any kung-fu move , make sure you have backups!!
