I have just noticed that the "Recent Posts" menu item displays everything posted by everyone included the site administrator. Is there a way to fine tune this to display only posts - posted by the current user and other users have an approved relationship (via the user relationship module)with.

Hi,

You'll have to make a new recent posts block with views. There you'll be able to add the appropriate filters.
