User profile doesn't work with panels path

Hi guys and gals,

I repeated the steps in chapter 4 to create a user profile several times.
I am struggling with User Profile. I followed the steps of dorien's book word by word, but I still cannot fix it up. One of my friend has exactly the same problem.

My case is:
Drupal v.6.10, Panels 2, Views2
- I set up the panels and content profile.
- The profile page doesn't take any affect of panels seeting with "node/%" , NODE ID ->context and avatar views
- Strangely, if I change node/% to user/% then the panels setting took place. But the "MY Wall" deosn't show.

I think it should not be so difficult. Do you have any advise about it? Appreciate in Advance.

Fixed!

I added the php code for implementing the "View my profile" image. After that all problem are gone. I cannot explain it why. I will try to repeat the procedure again to find out. One more things, the default avatar will not be shown. If I upload a oersonal avatar it works well, but the word "Avatar" is always beside the photo. How to get ride of it?

Can you give further detail on where in the ebook you found and entered the information Drupal? I am having the same problem and cant figure it out. Thanks

Hi,

The profile page as on drupalfun does not take over the "my account" page at user/%. So if you said that it is not being taken over, you were probably referring to the user account page, which is normal.

The node page is the one being taken over.
