views pane and views panel pane

Hi everyone!

I have created a custom view named Avatar, with panel pane as my display setting.

I'm trying to override the My Account page because that is what is required of our website. So in Panels, I have user/% instead of node/% .

I start adding content and I see the view that I've created. However, I see two versions of them. One is in the Views section (Avatar: Panel Pane), while the other is in the Views Pane section (Avatar).

I want to know the difference between the two? I'm really trying my best to understand the features of all modules, especially Views and Panels :)

Hi,

That has to do with the different displays you have created in the View. They tend to display multiple times (as blocks and as panes) in the add panel pane display box. If you have created a panel pane of your view, you'll probably want to use that.

Just make sure that you did not accidentally create two panel panes in the view. As long as that is ok, you can choose either one of them and try it out.
